"I realise that it is very difficult to pick the ups and downs on some occasions, and unfortunately I have invested in a few of these stocks which have cut into my profits. "I originally bought 500 Aristocrat Leisure shares for $1.88 in early 2003. On the advice of the Rivkin Report, I sold them for a minor loss following the restriction of poker machines licences, a product downgrade and general backlash against gaming. In early 2004, I reinvested again on the advice of the Rivkin Report, despite my ethical reluctance to invest major sums of money into gaming stocks. I held a little over 1000 shares for more than 12 months, and turned over a net profit of $5000, making a gain of at least 200%!
